Isuzu has updated their popular D Max and MU X models for 2019 on the back of outstanding sales growth over the last 10 years. Rob Fraser from OzRoamer went along to the launch.
With a major update in 2017, the latest round of improvements are mainly a cosmetic refresh with new alloy wheels, revised grill and some new running boards.
There are some new safety features such as Blind spot monitor, front park assist and rear cross traffic alert but these unfortunately are options, but can be retrofitted to models from MY17 onwards. We will probably have to wait for the all new model for more safety features. The MU-X steering has also been recalibrated for more direct feel and responsiveness.
The big story though is that all Isuzu’s now come with a 6 year/150,000km warranty with 6 year roadside assist and a 7 year capped price service menu.
Combine this with the legendary robustness of the Isuzu D Max and MU-X and you have excellent reasons to have a look at the latest models.
