2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
The E-Ray’s arrival heralds a new peak in electrified AWD performance, with its advanced powertrain delivering both blistering acceleration and efficient excitement.
The E-Ray is not an electric vehicle or a traditional hybrid, but rather a fuel-efficient performance vehicle with electrified propulsion that does not need charging.
Offered exclusively in 3LZ Coupe configuration for Australia and New Zealand, the E-Ray retains the same powerful LT2 6.2L V8 from the Corvette Stingray but adds an electric drive unit on its front axle, delivering more power, more torque, and even faster acceleration.
While Chevrolet’s potent V8 delivers 369kW of power and 637Nm of torque on its own, the E-Ray’s electrified powertrain lifts those outputs to an incredible 488kW and 806Nm, unlocking an exhilarating sprint to 60mph (97km/h) in just 2.5 seconds(**).
Helping harness those outputs is Chevrolet’s eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, with both automatic or driver-focused manual mode, while the electrified AWD system delivers grip, balance and precision whether on the road or track.

Further sharpening the performance attributes is the inclusion of carbon-ceramic brakes. The high-performance ZER Performance Package is standard for Australia and New Zealand. The latter dials up E-Ray’s track-ready character, with the inclusion of high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, ZER Performance Suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, and a taller spoiler wicker for track use.

Performance Hybrid Powertrain Corvette E-Ray
With a rated power output of 119kW, the electrified motor powering the front axle along with the mid-mounted LT2 V8 engine provides an incredible 488kW combined power. And while the LT2 V8 engine provides 637Nm torque to the rear wheels, the electric motor adds an additional 169Nm torque to the front wheels.
The standard eight-speed dual-clutch transmission combines the smoothness of an automatic with the control of a manual, giving drivers high efficiency, lightning-quick shifts, and shorter lap times, accessed through the wheel-mounted paddle shifters.
A 1.9-kWh lithium-ion battery electrifies Corvette for the first time, powering the electric drive unit that runs the front wheels. The battery is self-charging, picking up energy as the vehicle drives and brakes. It is rapidly replenished via regenerative energy from coasting and braking, as well as during normal driving.
Elevating the mid-engine platform with electrified AWD assist takes the E-Ray to a whole new level of performance. Not only does this bring a huge leap in all-season capability through AWD, but the intelligent controls also dynamically adjust in real time to provide front axle assist for stability and balance —providing the ultimate in precision and control.

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray builds on the refined athletic styling and performance-driven design of the Corvette family, sharing its wider exterior proportions with the Z06 and delivering a low, wide stance that demands attention.
Its standard ground effects and spoiler contribute to aerodynamics, while matching body-colour accents, exclusive E-Ray badging and unique alloys provide a look that’s both polished and potent.
Performance Enhancing Technology
Like the Stingray, the Corvette E-Ray is equipped with drive modes to suit almost any condition, with Tour, Sport, Track, Weather, MyMode and Z-Mode. These modes unlock performance and deliver cosseting comfort, taking advantage of the advanced Magnetic Selective Ride Control™ to deliver the ultimate grand tourer.
Another exciting option exclusive to the E-Ray is Stealth Mode, which allows drivers to use only electric power for four to six kilometres at speeds of up to 72km/h. Stealth Mode means near-silent startup and take-off in suburban streets.
Also exclusive to E-Ray is the in-car Performance App, which delivers key driving data and telematics regarding the electric propulsion system to the driver.
