Its near flat loadspace floor (with 1.267 metres in length behind the 2nd row) easily accommodates everything from wetsuits and kit bags to camping and climbing gear.
Unique exterior design enhancements means Defender 130 Outbound stands out wherever it goes. There is a subtle, purposeful look with a Shadow Atlas Matt finish to the bumpers and grille insert, while side vents are finished in Anthracite. To complement the Outbound design, 20-inch wheels finished in Gloss Black
Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey and Eiger Grey make up the colour palette, while body-coloured rear signature panels and D-pillar finishers complete the exterior enhancements. For clients needing superior scratch resistance off the beaten track, the Satin Protective Film is available4.
Inside, clients can choose luxurious full Windsor leather or durable Resist fabric, offering tactile material options to best suit their lifestyle. All are finished in Ebony, with an Ebony Morzine headliner, Robustec veneer and Defender’s signature cross-car beam in Satin Black Powder Coat Brushed finish.
At the beginning and end of every activity, practical touches protect the interior. Durable rubber floor matting can be folded down to protect the bumper when loading bulky or heavy equipment such as bikes or suitcases. Additional stowage areas safely store smaller items out of sight, while extra lashing points and a new cargo net mean a variety of outdoor equipment – large or small – can be secured while driving, ready for action on arrival.
Unstoppable 4×4 capability is provided by Defender’s proven Intelligent All-Wheel Drive System and Terrain Response 2® while Electronic Air Suspension and Adaptive Dynamics are fitted as standard. Advanced off-road driving technologies ensure effortless and reassuring progress across any terrain, with the Electronic Air Suspension allowing up to 430mm of articulation and up to 900mm of wading.
The Defender 130 Outbound can tow up to 3,000kg, meaning everything from jet skis and boats to caravans and trailers can be towed with ease. Hitching is made simpler by the air suspension, with switches inside the tailgate to raise and lower the rear of the vehicle.

Defender 110 Hard Top
The versatile and durable Defender 110 Hard Top will be launched in Australia this year, combining unstoppable all-terrain capability with 21st-century connectivity to give professionals a unique combination of cargo space, practicality and premium comfort.
The Hard Top name dates back to 1950, when the introduction of demountable Hard Tops gave early Series Land Rovers added security and protection from the elements. New Defender Hard Top continues this ethos, sharing its fixed metal roof and silhouette with the iconic original.
The 110 Hard Top will feature independent coil-sprung suspension, with advanced electronic air suspension also available. The Hardtop will provide outstanding off-road geometry, with ground clearance of 291mm, and approach, breakover and departure angles of up to 38, 28 and 40 degrees respectively (in Off-Road height).
By incorporating clever lockable underfloor storage solutions and a secure bulkhead partition, the experts at Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations have taken every step to maximise the space and practicality of the Defender in its transformation into the most usable and hard-wearing commercial Land Rover ever produced
The Defender Hard Top is powered exclusively by Land Rover’s strong and efficient D250 in-line six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine which makes use of the latest advanced Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (iAWD) system to distribute power and torque for optimum performance and efficiency.
An impressive payload and towing capacity of up 3,500kg will combine to make New Defender the ultimate commercial 4×4. The flexible cabin has no second or third-row seats, but the optional front-row jump seat means it will still accommodate up to three people. Land Rover’s clever ClearSight Rear View mirror system preserves rearward visibility when the jump seat is occupied, or when the load space is full. It uses a live video feed from a rear-facing camera to give drivers an unobstructed view at all times.
New Defender Hard Top will be a world-class tow vehicle, with a raft of technologies to help hitch, drive and reverse safely while pulling a trailer. Land Rover’s intelligent Advanced Tow Assist system takes the stress out of difficult reversing manoeuvres by letting drivers steer trailers with their fingertips using a rotary controller on the centre console.
In addition, the New Defender Hard Top models will feature a comprehensive suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. Land Rover’s 3D Surround Camera system provides an all-round visualisation of the vehicle on the central touchscreen, helping drivers manoeuvre safely in tight spaces or position the vehicle close to items ready for loading.
Convenience will be enhanced with the Remote smartphone app, which will allow businesses to keep track of the location, fuel level and journey history of their vehicle remotely, for ultimate peace of mind and security.
Defender 110 P400e Electric Hybrid (PHEV): all-electric driving
The new P400e Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) variant is key to the Defender’s latest enhancements and is available exclusively with the 110-body design. It delivers a blend of performance and economy while also being the most capable and durable electrified Land Rover. With unrivalled capability and off-road geometry for a full-sized plug-in hybrid electric 4×4, the P400e is capable of being driven in low range purely in EV mode, bringing a new dimension to adventures in the wild.
With a combined 297kW and 640Nm of torque from its 221kW 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine and 105kW electric motor, the P400e is capable of accelerating from 0-100km/h in 5.6 seconds, with a maximum 209km/h top speed.
The balance of electric-only driving and petrol performance means the Defender 110 P400e can travel for up to 52km on EV power alone, with fuel economy as low as 3.4 litres/100km and the capability to tow up to 3,000kg.
The P400e is one of very few plug-in electric hybrid vehicles capable of rapid DC charging, with a 0-80 per cent charge possible in as little as 30 minutes away from home using a 50kW charger. At home, it can charge from 0-100 per cent using a 7kW AC charger in around two and a half hours.
Defender 110 P400e will be offered in X-Dynamic SE and X-Dynamic HSE trim levels.
