Honda upgraded their popular CRV range late in 2020 and the LX AWD model is the top model in the range.
CRV comes with 1.5L VTEC turbo engine producing 140kW/240Nm driving through a CVT to a part time AWD system. Think of the AWD as an added safety feature rather than for more adventurous pursuits.
However the LX drives nicely and the 1.5L is both willing and economical.
With the recent upgrade the LX now includes heated leather front seats electronically adjusted for the driver, 7 inch Audio Display, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, hands-free power tailgate, wireless phone charging, dual zone climate control A/C and 19 inch alloy wheels.
With a five star ANCAP safety rating the CRV is equipped with the Honda Sensing package of advanced safety and driver-assist technologies.
As a five seat model the LX version is cavernous seating five in comfort and I can fit easily in the back seats. It’s packed with all the little goodies people want and at a price of $47,490 plus the usual costs it’s a very competitive proposition.
