Genesis GV70 is a recent addition to the brands SUV line-up aiming directly at the likes of Audi Q5 and Range Rover Velar, BMW X3 and the Porsche Macan.
This week we drove the top spec GV70 3.5T Sport with the luxury pack and found it to be an almost perfect blend of sportiness and luxury.
Powered by a turbocharged 3.5L V6 petrol engine that produces 279kW and 530Nm from as low as 1300rpm. This goes to all four wheels through a drive mode selectable 8 speed AT.
This combination is good for a claimed 0-100kmh in 5.1 seconds and a top speed of 250kmh.

Occupants are cocooned in quietness, comfort and luxury, wanting for little even the driver gets a massage seat. Inside its layout and driver ergonomics are excellent and for larger drivers there is plenty of room.
With a predominantly rear wheel drive bias the AWD system provided excellent grip in the recent deluges on the freeway.
GV70 is priced from $66,400 through to around $89,000 for the model we drove plus the usual costs and if you are the market for a premium mid sized SUV you would be mad not to look at it
