Audi and Origin Energy give free EV Charging for owners

Free EV Charging – In a move that is sure to please electric car owners, well some at least, Audi has announced a partnership with Origin Energy to give Audi owners free charging for their electric cars.

Audi e-tron GT

Launching in April, the Origin EV Energy Plan will be available for both existing and new Audi e-tron owners, enabling them to power their vehicles for free between 10am and 3pm daily.

In addition, the plan also includes off-peak rates between the hours of 1am-6am. This is designed to help encourage electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles when energy demand across the National Electricity Market (NEM) is lowest and wholesale energy prices are cheapest, instead of charging during the evening peak when wholesale prices are more expensive.

Auid also offers owners a free 6 year subscription to Chargefox services. In addition to this, all Audi e-trons come with complimentary 6 year Audi scheduled servicing and 6 year Audi Roadside Assistance.

To opt in, Audi e-tron owners will need to be an existing Origin customer or will have to make the switch from their current provider to Origin.
