Audi Q5 35 TDI – Audi Australia is expanding the popular Q5 model range, with the introduction of a new entry point. The Q5 35 TDI is generously equipped, launching other high-value Q5 Limited Edition models at the same time, but with pricing starting at just $68,350*.
- New 35 TDI model is the most fuel-efficient diesel SUV in the Australian market, with a theoretical range of over 1400km
- Reid: “The Q5 35 TDI offers a new entry point into our most popular SUV model, the iconic Audi Q5”
- Pricing for the Q5 35 TDI Limited Edition starts at $68,350*
“The Q5 35 TDI offers a new entry point into our most popular SUV model, the iconic Audi Q5,” said Nick Reid, General Manager Marketing at Audi Australia.
“With the introduction of this model and the curation of our two Sport Limited Edition models, we are ensuring that we are bringing the most attractive vehicles possible to the premium market at this time.
“Beyond the current Limited Edition offer, we expect that the 35 TDI model will occupy a permanent position in the Q5 range,” said Reid.
Versatile and efficient driving performance
The 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine beneath the bonnet of the Q5 35 TDI develops 120kW and 370Nm, the latter between a broad range of 1500-3000rpm. Power is channeled to the road via the seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission and front-wheel drive – the first time for a Q5 sold in Australia.
Performance is brisk, with 100 km/h being despatched in 9.0 seconds, however fuel efficiency is the real highlight of the 35 TDI. Consuming just 4.8 litres per 100km on the combined ADR 81/02 test cycle, it sips less diesel than any other SUV on the Australian market. The large 70-litre fuel tank allows a theoretical range of over 1400km. Twin-dosing and a 12V mild-hybrid system, including advanced start-stop technology, contributes to the extraordinary fuel efficiency figures, also ensuring that the engine meets that latest Euro 6d-ISC-FCM emissions standards.
