The 40 TDi quattro is a powered by a Mild Hybrid 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine that producing 150kW and 400Nm of torque, with a 7 Sp S Tronic Quattro drive train. It’s good for 0-100km/h in 7.6 seconds.
However the economy is good at about 5.4 l/100k. So you get well over 1000km from a tank of fuel. The other thing you notice is just how smooth and easy the Q5 is to drive. The engine provides more than adequate response as does the steering. It provides a compliant ride with a sporting edge.
Priced from around $74,900 plus the usual costs its actually pretty good value.
