Audi RS e-tron GT – Electric sports cars don’t come much better than the Audi RS e-tron GT. Beautiful in design, elegant interior, fast and fluent.
Performance is a staggering 0-100km/h time of 3.3 seconds combined with impressive ride and handling dynamics.
Just like a normal engine, the faster you drive it the shorter the range. Charging the battery can be done on a home 11kW AC charging station or at fast chargers. Trying to do it on a normal 240V 10Amp plug takes forever.
Long, sleek and wide the RS e-tron GT sits on 21-inch alloy wheels that house tungsten carbide brake discs, clamped with distinctive red calipers. Its thrilling drive dynamics are heightened with the e-quattro sport differential with torque vectoring and all-wheel steering.
As you may expect being an Audi, the interior ambience is luxurious, comfortable and packed with safety features. The seats cocoon the occupants and driver ergonomics are spot on.
The RS e-tron GT is priced from $249,700* plus the usual costs.

More Audi RS e-tron GT thoughts
- Audi builds some simply beautiful cars and the e-tron GT is amongst the best
- The interior is familiar to Audi owners with everything laid out in a practical and functional way.
- I always like the Haptic touch central screen functionality.
- Occupant comfort can be described as sumptuous.
- Its big and low though and you have to remember that when driving in carparks and speed bumps etc.
- Visibility out the rear is heavily restricted.
- Its fast, very fast, and exhilarating to drive.
- It drives like a sports car almost half its size.
- The wheels and tyres, especially the rear, are massive
- Charging at fast chargers is ok, at home on the charge kit as well
- But charging on a normal 240V 10 Amp plug takes forever.
- Audi Australia is also offering all e-tron vehicles – including the e-tron GT models – with a comprehensive customer offer that includes a 6-year subscription to the Chargefox charging network.

Audi RS e-tron GT Final thoughts
Its big, quiet, stylish and very fast.
Typically Audi in luxury and comfort, the RS e-tron GT is the pinnacle of the Audi EV range.
However its expensive, which I could live with, but has relatively poor range and that’s an issue for me.
But I absolutely loved the big Audi EV. Its exhilarating to drive
Simply stunning.
