Audi RS5 Sportback 3.0L V6 TFSI Quattro 2021 Review

Audi RS5 Sportback is perhaps the most elegant mid-sized vehicle on the market. It exudes a sense of style and grace that doesn’t come around that often.

It’s a difficult choice between the coupe and the Sportback, however the practicality combined with the good looks of the Sportback is the winner for me.

Powered by a 3.0L V6 TFSI petrol engine that is good for a 0-100kmh time of 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 250kmh the RS5 has an 8 speed sports AT along with the brilliant quattro drivetrain.

The beauty of the engine though is how easy it is to drive normally around town and how economical it is, while still having sports car performance.

Yes it’s full of comfort and luxury features as well as the full suite of safety functions as you would expect, but the essence of the RS5 is how comfortable the occupants are while hiding its true sporty nature. The Sportback will also swallow a heap of luggage for that family trip as well.

Priced from about $151,000 plus the usual costs its also an absolute performance bargain. It makes an excellent long distance Grand Tourer, has an almost perfect balance in size, performance and everyday practicality and is perhaps my favourite sports saloon.
