Bentley claim that the Bentayga Speed can reach 306 km/h and have a 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 secs.
It achieves this with a 6.0-litre W12 engine that develops 467 kw and 900 Nm of torque
Tesla would claim that its top of the range Model X would have a faster 0-100 km/hr time of 2.9 secs but possibly not the top speed.
The Bentayga has a few features to give it a purposeful exterior look including Dark-tint headlights, radiator and bumper grilles, body-coloured side skirts, a striking tailgate spoiler, 22-inch wheels with a unique design and Speed signature badging.
Bentley’s image is going back to its early days.
After the second world war Bentleys as a sister car to Rolls Royce were principally known as luxury cars with sufficient performance.
But in their early life they were a very sporty vehicle. Bentley won the Le Mans 24-hour race in 1924, 27, 28, 29 and 1930. A grand tourer indeed.
