Citroen C4 – Citroen Australia has confirmed that the new C4 will be added to the local line-up in November this year, with a single variant of the model making its way to Australian shores.
The variant making its Australian debut will be powered by a 1.2L PureTech petrol engine producing 114kW of power and 240Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed Efficient Automatic Transmission.
Key features of the C4 will include the brand’s signature Advanced Comfort Seats made from high-density material and 15mm thick foam that provide the “ultimate comfort for all occupants”, according to the brand. The C4 will also feature Citroen’s suspension with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions, that delivers a “magic carpet ride” effect and 18 driving aids that provide safety and convenience including autonomous emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, driver attention alert, active lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, proximity keyless entry with push button start, colour heads-up display, reversing camera with top rear vision and 360-degree vision.
Kate Gillis, General Manager Citroën Australia, said: “We’re delighted to be expanding the Citroën range in Australia and the C4 is the perfect addition.
“The versatility, unrivalled comfort and original design of the Citroën C4 will no doubt appeal to the discerning Australian consumer.”
The brand asserts that the new Citroen C4 has “all the qualities needed to shake up the standards of its segment.” With a design that combines a reimagined hatchback with SUV posture and saloon versatility, it certainly seems as though it will be positioned to make a mark.
The Citroen C4 will slot into the middle of the Australian range between the small C3 hatch and the larger C5 Aircross SUV.
Citroen advises that full specification, including pricing, will be available at launch. In the interim, customers can register their interest in the new Citroen C4 online at www.citroen.com.au
