Danny Black, a Youtuber with over 41,000 subscribers, has been creating technology-focused content on his channel since October 27, 2009.
It has been a decade and over the years, he has established himself as a reliable source of gadget reviews, and he takes pride in delivering his reviews “straight to the point and no fluff.” Because of this, Danny has built a loyal following.
Recently, Danny reviewed the Mearth GTS Evo Electric Scooter, one of the best-selling models of Ride Hub Australia. Ride Hub is the Home of Electrified Beasts (E-Rides) and carries a variety of electric scooters, an electric bike and even electric toys. For the best e-scooters, Ride Hub carries top-notch brands like Bird, Bolzzen, Ducati, Inokim, Kaabo, Mearth, Mercane, NanRobot, Segway and Xiaomi.
But for this story, Danny in his Youtube post, chose to make a video review showing off the Mearth GTS Evo. He enthusiastically said in his video, “If you are looking for an e-scooter with more power, I have the Mearth GTS Evo here. This thing is a beast. It’s so much fun and let me tell you all about it!”
Going into Details
In his video, Danny shared some insights about Mearth, emphasizing the company’s wide range of e-scooters, including the Mearth S Series, the Mearth RS series, the Mearth GTS Evo series and the latest Mearth Cyber. Without a doubt, Mearth is an Australian-based company, known as the Pioneer of Australian Electric Scooter. Danny highly recommended the S and RS series for city commuters and casual riders, while the GTS series is on a different level – for those who love performance rides.
The name “GTS” was inspired by the popular racing video game, Gran Turismo Sport, which is known for competitiveness and championship. Similarly, the Mearth GTS Evo 2023 Series is the flagship series of the brand. And recently, Ride Hub has added the new and improved 2023 Mearth GTS Evo Series to its electric scooter collection. Mearth was responsible for the updates that just came to life in December of 2022. As a pioneer in Australian electric scooters, Mearth ensures that every model is made with high-quality, locally-designed components.
Danny was so impressed with the Mearth GTS Evo series that he pointed out the external features, the body per se, and how it has a sleek design, with a heavy-duty 6000 series aerial grade aluminum frame. “It really is heavy duty, strong and it looks amazing!”
He also added that the Mearth GTS Evo and Mearth GTS Evo Max models “have a voltage meter on the handlebars, which helps riders keep track of their battery status. And on top of that you have a throttle trigger (he points to it) up here which makes it a lot easier for long rides. And you have a nice display screen which you can see during the day and especially at night time.”
He continues to explain the different specifications of the two 2023 models, “So there is a Mearth GTS Evo and Mearth GTS Evo Max which have some different specs, which I’ll go through and tell you all of that throughout this video. Now this thing is really heavy, the Evo is 33 kg and the Max is 41 kg, so you know, prepare to use your legs when you’re lifting this thing because yeah it can be very heavy.”
As for the wheels, Danny emphasizes, “The wheels are 10 inches, all terrain pneumatic air-filled tires. They’re also front and rear vacuum explosion proof tires and that’s going to keep you from getting flats or punctures. It’s got suspension in the front and the rear which makes it really smooth on off-road surfaces or just hitting bumps you won’t even feel them. Because this thing is so beefy it can carry a beefy load up to 150 kg.”
Danny with so much energy exclaimed, “The motor on this thing is insane, the GTS Evo motor power has 1000 watts and the GTS Evo Max has 1200 watts which will give you a top speed with the GTS of 45 kph and the max at 75 kph – very, very fast and very fun…”
Danny continues to demonstrate the robust Mearth GTS e-scooter and tells his viewers to be careful with it because of its powerful specs. It is important to always wear your approved helmet and safety gear for maximum protection.
He included, “With the dual motors for the Mearth GTS Evo Max, you can climb hills at 30%. So if you have hills around your area, you will fly up those hills with no problems. The GTS has a range of 70 km and the Max gives you all the way up to 100 km in optimal riding conditions.”
If Danny Has It, So Should You
Yes. If Danny has it, so should you! If you’re the thrill-seeking, power-driven rider, the Mearth GTS series is for you!
