Genesis is a new brand to Australia that many people don’t really know about. It is competing against the likes of the smaller Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz models. The Genesis G70 Ultimate Sport I drove here is the top model G70 so far in Australia.
Genesis G70 Ultimate Sport Performance
High Performance: The Genesis was an absolute joy to drive. The acceleration was highly responsive which I enjoyed. Great for cruising but with a blistering 0-100kmh of 4.7 seconds it’s more than capable of taking off when you want it to.
This comes from the 3.3L Twin Turbo V6 that produces power of 272kW @ 6000rpm and torque of 510Nm @ 1300-4500rpm. Its rear wheel drive and has an eight speed auto transmission. I didn’t try it but I’m told it will go from 0-100kmh in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 270kmh.
It also got a heap of driver selection for different driving modes.
Genesis G70 Ultimate Sport Luxury Interior
Luxurious Interior: Everything about the interior feels very high quality. Everything from the feel of the steering wheel to the premium leather seats, make the G70 a luxurious and comfortable ride.
It has air conditioned front seats and outer rear seats, adjustable seats for every possibility as well as when you switch to sport mode they tighten up on you to hold you in place.
Not a lot of room in the back though if the front seats are used for taller occupants.

Features: The G70 came with plethora of features for both safety and convenience. Rear, Front and side Beepers, Front and Reverse Cameras make parking in the G70 safer and easier. Other Features that deserve a mention are the heads up display, wireless phone charging port, seat and steering wheel warmers/cooling. It’s packed, more than many similar riced vehicles.

Stunning Looks: A sophisticated yet sporty exterior makes the G70 a good looking vehicle. Many times throughout the week it was noticeable it was turning heads as we passed by.
Genesis G70 Ultimate Sport Handling
Handling: The steering on the G70 felt very comfortable and quite natural from the start which is something I highly value when shopping for a car. The Traction felt excellent, turning felt great even with a bit more speed. It stuck to the road like glue and I always felt in control.

The G70 offers a comfortable ride with plenty of features and high performance. Would be a great option for couples. Great for every day cruising but a fun ride for long trips too.
