Genesis GV80 3.5L V6 AWD SUV 2021 Review

Genesis joins the ranks of prestige SUVs with the GV80. Stick around for a minute and see what it’s like!

Launched late in 2020 the GV80 is a large SUV that comes in either 5 or seven seat configuration.  It also comes in four variants along with three engines and an optional luxury pack.

We drove the 3.5T AWD version powered by a V6 petrol engine producing 279kW and 530Nm, backed by an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. Its reasonably quick going from 0-100kmh in 5.5 seconds but is also thirsty at the fuel pump.

With Australian tuned adaptive suspension it’s a smooth and comfortable ride, with a sporting edge when asked.

As you would expect the GV80 is packed with almost every conceivable safety and luxury feature and is like a lounge room on wheels.

Little luxuries like heated and cooled Nappa leather seats front and back, massage function for the front occupants and a 12 inch HUD and 14.5 inch central touch screen keep all the information needed within easy sight.

The GV80 3.5T V6 AWD with luxury pack is priced from around $120,000 plus the usual costs.
