GMSV will be making the pilgrimage from Melbourne to the Mountain as part of Bathurst 2023, bringing a selection of new products to their display area beside the racetrack.
The Corvette Z06 will take pride of place in the GMSV activation, positioned alongside other models from the range including a C8 Stingray plus new MY23 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2.
“This is an awesome opportunity for race fans to get along and see the new Z06 in arguably its natural environment – at the racetrack,” said Jodie Lennon, GMSV Marketing and Communications Manager.
“The Z06 is a road going version of a supercar, it’s a mid-engine rear-wheel drive two-seater sport car manufactured right-hand drive at the home of Corvette, the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.”
The Corvette Z06 features a hand-assembled naturally aspirated LT6 5.5L DOHC V8 engine with an all-new flat-plane crankshaft design which allows the engine to rev to 8,600 rpm. It is capable of producing 475kW of power and 595Nm of torque and first arrivals are anticipated to arrive in GMSV showrooms in Australia and New Zealand late this year.
At the GMSV area, race fans will be welcome to step up into and experience the MY23 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 from the driver seat, providing the chance to view the world from the elevated position.
The GMSV display will be open across the weekend and the C8 Stingray will be participating in the driver parade on the Sunday morning prior to the start of the Great Race.
