Hyundai Palisade seems to have found a niche in the growing SUV market. It’s a big, comfortable and luxurious SUV that can seat either 7 or 8 in comfort.
I drove the Highlander diesel model that has seven seats and I have to say it’s exceptionally easy to live with.
Its powered by a 2.2L diesel engine that produces 147kW and 440Nm driving through a smooth 8 speed sports AT and AWD.
This is a well-tested and practical configuration that is easy to drive, economical and with enough oomph when needed.

Inside it is spacious and has a premium feel to the cabin. The driver’s seat is very comfortable with multiple adjustments and you simply ease into the drive mode. The ride is compliant, handling is good for a family wagon and you can easily drive for hours feeling quite relaxed.
As you would expect it is packed with all the safety, comfort and luxury features that Hyundai can fit in there. Everyone can sit back, relax and enjoy the drive.
Pricing is around $75,000 for the 2.2L Highlander, plus the usual costs. Its getting a bit pricey but you get a lot for your money.
