Hyundai’s first SUV, the 2001 Sante Fe, was portrayed as a more comfortable version of a large four-wheel drive. The new one called the Venue is at the small end of the market. Only available in 2-wheel drive it is targeted at the practical urban dweller.
Their marketing words say “it combines the rugged looks of SUV styling with light-car economy and maneuverability
So it has the appearance of an SUV, but it goes like a small car. Perfect.
Pricing excluding on road cost starts at $19,990 but that’s a manual. Most will be the six-speed auto. Top of the range is $25,500 plus.
