INFINITI Brand exits Australia Again

The all-new 2019 INFINITI QX50 luxury crossover made its debut this year with a combination of world-first technologies, standout design and a luxurious interior, which is why Twin Cities Auto Show has named it this year’s “Car of the Show.”

Infiniti Exits Australia

The Infiniti brand is Nissan’s equivalent of the Toyota Lexus – a premium range of vehicles that is not burden with a common name.  David Brown reports how it has not succeeded in Australia.

Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury car brand, has confirmed it will be pulling out of the Australian and New Zealand markets.

The decision is the latest of several steps taken this year toward what it has called “centralisation”.

In March, Infiniti said it would discontinue the Q30 and QX30 models, cease production at Nissan’s plant in England and exit business in Western Europe.

It also said it would sharpen global operations in North America – where sales have fallen – and China, while continuing to seek growth opportunities in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Infiniti says it is “committed to fulfilling its obligations to customers in Australia.
