Lexus ES300h Sports Luxury 2022 Motoring Minute Review

Lexus ES 300h – In a world where SUVs are increasing sales every year,  cars like the Lexus ES are becoming less popular. Not because there is anything wrong with, far from it the ES is a luxury medium size sedan that has an abundance of refinement, space and comfort.

I drove the 300h Luxury, priced from around $63,500 plus the usual costs.

You get a lot of car for that money.

Lexus has always delivered the little luxuries to buyers and the ES definitely has them. Such as heated and ventilated front seats, huge 12 inch centre screen, 10 way electrically adjustable front seats, multi zone A/C and more.

The overall ambiance is of quietness, space and comfort. Rear seat passengers are well catered for in space and individual A/C controls plus more.

At the heart of the ES300h is the now familiar 160kW petrol-electric hybrid powertrain combining a 2.5-litre petrol engine with 131kW and 221Nm, and an electric motor with 88kW and 202Nm.
Our overall fuel economy on test was 5.1l/100k which is excellent.

Driving the ES is a genuinely comfortable. It’s the type of saloon that you can jump into and drive for hundreds of kilometres and arrive feeling relaxed. Not the least because with current fuel prices its extremely economical
