MG Motor Unveils All New MG HS SUV in Australia

MG HS 1 exterior MG Motor unveiled in late November, its all-new MG HS in Australia. Retailing from $30,990 driveaway, the MG HS enters the market in two variants – the Vibe and Excite – both are designed to be purposeful, sporty and perfectly at home on Australian roads. 

The MG HS features a premium and Euro-centric design aesthetic and elevated craftsmanship, beautiful materials and high levels of standard equipment across the whole range, including the MG Pilot driver assistance suite. When combined with its advanced safety, technology and entertainment features, the MG HS creates a new definition of attainable style for buyers seeking a high-quality alternative to conventional choices in the mid-to-large SUV category.

The MG HS reveals a bold, sporty flair in a true SUV offering, embodying a superior feel with elevated material and design cues. The signature front Star Grille is emphasised by a chrome surround, delivering eye-catching style and perfectly framing the famed MG octagon badge.

Further enhancing the model’s design, the inclusion of LED Daytime Running Lights and Auto Headlamps feature as standard, with LED Headlights and striking Dynamic Indicators available on the Excite model.

Front passengers can enjoy -superior shoulder, hip and head room with rear seating also spacious and comfortable for everyone. Driver and passenger comfort are top of mind for MG, with the HS featuring premium soft-touch materials throughout the cabin, leather-style upholstery and seats, as well as MG’s signature Flat-Bottom, Leather Multifunction Steering Wheel, Ambient LED Lighting and Dualzone Automatic Climate Control also available. Equipped with a 1.5L turbo engine using electronic multi-point direct injection and featuring 7-speed Dual Clutch Automatic Transmission, the MG HS draws on its maximum power of up to 124kW and 250Nm of torque. In Super Sports Mode drivers will notice an increased throttle response, with Paddle Shift transmission available on the Excite.

A natural flowing curve links the front to back windows, enabling a 360-degree view for the driver, enhancing visibility in all driving conditions.

Committed to ensuring customers have the latest in technology across the range, the MG HS models come with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto allow drivers to seamlessly integrate Navigation via the Maps application, make calls and listen to music, all while ensuring they stay focused on the road.

The MG HS features a large 10.1-inch touch screen infotainment system situated front-and-centre of the dashboard, one of the largest in the segment, displaying Colour Radio, Bluetooth hands-free, and a Digital Dashboard, with GPS Navigation also available on the Excite to ensure the best possible driver experience.
