Mitsubishi has had a successful run with its small SUV the ASX. Even though they have released the Eclipse which was meant to replace the ASX, the sales continued strongly until recently. Its popular for a reason.
ASX Fit for purpose-
I really enjoyed this car, I think it is a great city SUV, perfect for small families or couples that are wanting that extra space when going on trips.
Ideal as a city runabout its large for a small SUV with good useable space and is good value for money.
ASX Design-
It’s a great looking SUV appealing to the eye both outside and inside. The latest design looks like a mini Triton and looks big and bold.
It shows attitude for a city SUV. Inside The ASX is packed with style, has a sharp appearance and has attitude. Overall, I really like the design of the simple car, everything is easy to read and use. The instruments are particularly easy to understand.
ASX Performance –
The ASX driving experience is pleasant enough. It’s not overly powerful and the CVT is also a little dated, but it does everything you would want without fuss. Around town it has adequate amount of performance. The fuel economy on the car is a little high for the size and a petrol vehicle.
It’s smooth and easy to drive and around town the ride is good. Steering feedback is relatively direct and its simply an easy car to live with. The paddle shifts are a little useless on this car.
ASX Comfort-
The ASX is a very comfortable car, front seats are good and I do always love the heated seats. There is a generous amount of space, making it ok whether you’re in the front seat or back. Back passengers lack basic extras though.
With a decent boot space and even more room if you want to put the back seats down, ASX is great for weekend adventures. It’s ideal for couples for sport adventures, picnics, long holidays or more.
I would be very happy sitting in the car going on a long car trip or even stuck in traffic. It has all the features you would need, great display system, updated connectivity, sound system, Bluetooth, GPS and all the new safety features.
ASX Verdict-
This is an all-round great car and the price makes it even more desirable, making it fantastic value for money.
It’s great for anyone wanting an SUV, with comfort and a good amount of space, especially in that price range. For any type of driving you will be happy with its performance.
It’s old now but still good value as a city SUV.
