V.I.P. Home Services will introduce lean, green electric vehicle technology to its national network with a new fleet of Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV plug-in hybrids.

The world-first Mitsubishi plug-in hybrid SUV was the star choice for V.I.P.’s franchise support team thanks to its practical SUV layout, five-star ANCAP safety and advanced electric vehicle technology.

The Outlander PHEV – which stands for Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle – boasts combined fuel efficiency of just 1.9-litres per 100 kilometres* – the lowest official ADR fuel consumption figure of any SUV sold in Australia. Outlander PHEV’s CO2 emissions are also super low at 44 gm/km.

Founder and Chairman of V.I.P. Home Services Bill Vis said its national fleet of Outlander PHEVs would help the company promote energy efficiency and reduce its environmental impact.

“V.I.P. Home Services has partnered with Mitsubishi Motors Australia because it shares our values of protecting the environment,” he said.

“We developed V.I.P’s Very Important Planet initiative as part of our long-term commitment to environmental sustainability, which has included the installation of solar power and LED lighting at our head office.

“We’re proud to announce this initiative now extends to the cars we drive.

“The Outlander PHEV, with its highly efficient electric vehicle system and low emissions performance, is the ideal fleet vehicle to power our field support team and help us protect the environment we operate in.”
