Platinum Edition models are differentiated externally with 21-inch Sport Edition wheels in Platinum with a satin finish as standard and window surrounds in sporty high gloss black. Upon entry “Platinum Edition” lettering adorns the front door sills with a sporty analogue clock positioned on the dashboard.

These additional standard features are valued in excess of $12,000.

Available colours are solid black or white, or the metallic colours of Jet Black, Mahogany, Purpurite, Carrara White and Rhodium Silver.

Power outputs and fuel consumption remain unchanged over the S models with the 309 kW (420-hp) 3.6-litre six-cylinder bi-turbo engine in the Cayenne S consuming 9.8 L/100 kms and the V8 engine with twin turbocharging in the Cayenne S Diesel generating 283 kW (385 hp) consuming 8.2 L/100 kms.

Together with versions of the Cayenne, Cayenne Diesel and the Cayenne S E-Hybrid, the Platinum Edition now comprises five Cayenne models.

The Cayenne S Platinum Edition is priced at $137,100 which represents a price reduction of 4.3 per cent over the standard S despite the significant level of additional equipment; while the Cayenne S Diesel Platinum Edition is priced at $142,500, a 4.4 per cent reduction over the standard S Diesel.

Both additions to the Cayenne range are now on sale with first deliveries expected from late May of this year.
