Race of Champions – Australia is gearing up to host its first-ever Race of Champions (ROC) in 2025, with Sydney set to welcome some of the best motorsport talents in the world.
The drivers will go head-to-head on March 7-8, just one week before the 2025 Formula One season kicks off with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.
With several Aussie motorsports stars set to participate in the event at the Accor Stadium, the ROC is guaranteed to ignite a buzz in the Australian betting community.
Bettors will have plenty of opportunities to wager on the event, with sportsbooks expected to offer a wide range of ante-post and in-play markets.
Operators will be eager to capitalise on the ROC, increasing the likelihood of betting sites bonus deals being made available when the action gets underway.
Aussie drivers participating in the event will draw support from the locals, and bettors will be keen to use betting promotions in the hope of securing a decent payout.
A History Defining Moment for Australia
For nearly four decades, the ROC has summoned drivers from different racing categories to face off in individual and nation-based contests.
Australia will host the spectacle at Sydney’s Accor Stadium, and fans can expect plenty of entertainment as drivers from all over the world slug it out for the grand prize.
Drivers will team up according to their nationality at the ROC Nations Cup on March 7. It is every man for himself the following day as drivers square off in a winner-takes-it-all format.
Sweden has hosted the event on challenging snow and ice terrains for the past two years, but uncertainties surrounding the venue forced organisers to look elsewhere
ROC president and co-founder Fredrik Johnsson said: “We are incredibly excited to bring the Race Of Champions to Australia for the first time ever. ROC has always been about pushing drivers to their limits in unique conditions.
“Australia has a rich motorsport heritage, and we’re looking forward to celebrating that by pitting some of the best Australian drivers against some of the world’s most legendary racing stars in a spectacular showdown in the middle of Accor Stadium.”
ROC’s History of Legendary Drivers
Some of the best drivers and legendary figures in motorsports history have graced the ROC stage at previous events.
Michael Schumacher, Sebastian Vettel and David Coulthard have participated in the event, and the 2025 edition is set to continue that tradition.
The event will celebrate the global motorsport elite, but Australia will also be well-represented, with ROC organisers keen to give local drivers a chance to prove their mettle on home turf.
Seven-time Supercars champion Jamie Whincup will participate. Whincup ended his illustrious racing career in 2021 but made himself available when ROC hosted events in Bangkok and Barbados.
With the spectacle set to storm Australia next year, the 41-year-old Supercars legend is gearing up to return to the spotlight for one more dance.
Whincup said: “I had a great time competing at the Race Of Champions World Finals in Bangkok and Barbados. I’m thrilled to be part of the ROC driver line-up again in 2025, especially with the event being hosted in Sydney.
“Competing alongside some of the best drivers in the world from so many different racing series is always an incredible challenge, and representing Australian motorsport on home soil now that ROC comes to Australia for the first time makes it even more special.”

Tickets & Hospitality for ROC

With a host of Aussie legends set to go head-to-head with other global superstars, the Accor Stadium is expected to be packed with a large crowd.
However, you can avoid any last-minute hassles by securing your tickets early. ROC also offers several hospitality options to improve the experience and excitement for fans.
The stadium’s hospitality packages include Private Suites, Zone Boxes and access to the exclusive premium lounge for the VIP experience.
Each option offers a perfect blend of luxury, comfort and the best views of the track, so fans are guaranteed an unforgettable experience at the event.
