Luxury SUVs are typically large but the Range Rover Evoque is classed as a medium SUV and it proves that smallness does not mean a lack of style as David Brown reports
The second generation Range Rover Evoque is with us and it irons out some of the limitations of the first model.
10 inch touch screen, more room in the back, better handling. I liked the 2-litre diesel but the 9-speed automatic gear box fluffed about a bit.
But luxury SUVs are firstly about fashion. Range Rover’s highlights from the launch were:
- Model Adwoa Aboah was there in a specially commissioned dress
- British Fashion House Mulberry has designed a travel bag collection using the textile from the Evoque seats
- Swiss brand Zenith has a limited edition watch on the theme
My road test car had none of these.
Prices range from $62,700- 94,300 plus on roads and options are pricey.
