Subaru Crosstrek – Subaru Australia confirms that the all-new Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive Subaru Crosstrek is bound for Australia. Essentially the new generation XV.
Subaru Australia’s Managing Director, Blair Read, said: “We’re excited to confirm the next-generation XV is coming to Australia soon, and it will carry the Crosstrek nameplate.
“The new name embodies what the Crosstrek does and is, an All-Wheel Drive crossover small SUV that’s capable of trekking almost anywhere you please, whether that’s urban driving or outdoor adventures, with absolute confidence and enjoyment.

Alongside this, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek represents a step change in driver and passenger ergonomics and comfort. Taking a human-centred design approach, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek has been years in development. In collaboration with medical schools, Subaru designers studied the structure and movement of the human body to design a small SUV that delivers advanced comfort, sound ergonomics and an intuitive connection between driver, vehicle and road.
Building on Subaru’s reputation for producing ultra-safe vehicles, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek will comprise cutting-edge safety features, including the latest generation EyeSight® Driver Assist system and Driver Monitoring System – Driver Focus (DMS)* to offer another layer of safety and help reduce the chance of accidents. Additionally, featuring 9 SRS† airbags, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek is well-equipped in case of a collision.
Furthermore, the feeling of confidence is further underpinned by the Subaru Global Platform with a refined inner frame that increases cabin strength and delivers a quieter and more comfortable ride.
Inside the cabin, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek will feature state-of-the-art intuitive infotainment technology to increase user-friendliness and convenience. Under the bonnet, the all-new Subaru Crosstrek will be powered by a sporty yet refined direct injection 2.0-litre Boxer engine and a Lineartronic® transmission with 8-speed paddle shift manual mode, and the option of a Hybrid variant boasting a robust Subaru e-Boxer engine.
