Subaru Australia Managing Director, Nick Senior, said: “This will be a rare opportunity for 300 buyers to purchase a Subaru in a very distinctive hue.
“We feel that like many other of our special edition colours in the past, these vehicles will be keenly sought after in the years to come.
“There’s always massive interest in our sports special edition versions. Combine that with their proven track record of excellent retained value, and you have every reason to get the blues.”
Combined WRX and WRX STI sales of 1936 were up 7.7 per cent year-to-date to the end of July, putting them on a par with the late 1990s heyday of the Mark 1 originals.
Mr Senior added: “The fun factor is always high with BRZ and WRX. These specials amp it up with a head-turning colour scheme that only adds to their appeal.”
Pricing and specification will be announced to coincide with on-sale.
