Subaru Australia is proud to announce it has been awarded Major Car Manufacturer of the Year in the 2024 Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards — a prestigious accolade based on comprehensive, independently collected customer satisfaction data.

The honour was formally celebrated at a Gala awards night on Thursday, 10 April, where Mark Robinson, Subaru Australia’s General Manager – Ownership Experience, officially accepted the award on behalf of the brand.

This recognition builds upon an already strong period of customer-driven accolades for the brand, with Subaru also currently holding the title of Canstar Blue’s Most Satisfied SUV Customers for both 2023 and 2024.

“This award is a powerful endorsement from our owners in Australia — and we’re honoured by it, especially given the wide choice of brands available to customers today “said Scott Lawrence, General Manager, Subaru Australia. “To be recognised not only for the quality of our vehicles, but for the complete ownership experience is a testament to our entire network — from engineers and product teams to our Retailers and customer service specialists. We’re committed to delivering a great Subaru experience at every touchpoint, and this result confirms we’re on the right path.”

Subaru and Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards

The Roy Morgan Annual Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on insights from the world-leading Roy Morgan Single Source survey. Which captures responses from approximately 60,000 Australians annually. Winners are determined by consistently high satisfaction ratings across the calendar year. Making this award one of the most robust measures of real customer sentiment in the country.

Roy Morgan CEO Michele Levine congratulated Subaru on their second win as Major Car Manufacturer of the Year. Saying: “Subaru has returned to the winner’s circle with a stellar performance during 2024. Winning 9 monthly customer satisfaction awards with an average customer satisfaction during the year of an exceptional 92.8%. To secure its second win as Major Car Manufacturer of the Year at the Annual Roy Morgan Customer Satisfaction Awards.

“The Japanese headquartered car manufacturer sells tens of thousands of cars in Australia each year. And has been consistently rated by Australians as delivering high levels of satisfaction. Subaru is the only Car Manufacturer to win monthly satisfaction awards in each of the last four years. Collecting a total of 22 monthly satisfaction awards since 2021. More than three times as many as second-placed Kia (7 monthly customer satisfaction wins).

“Subaru’s delivery of superior customer satisfaction over a long period is based on models such as the popular Subaru Outback SUV. One of Australia’s most popular cars. Which tens of thousands of people have bought over the last few years – and are clearly very satisfied with.”

Back-to-back Canstar Blue wins

Subaru’s back-to-back Canstar Blue wins further reinforce its strong connection with Australian families. The adventurers and everyday drivers. Delivering confidence, innovation and trusted performance across its vehicle line-up.

“Being recognised by both Roy Morgan and Canstar Blue in such close succession is incredibly rewarding,” added Lawrence. “It’s a reminder of why we do what we do — to serve Subaru owners and deliver vehicles they can rely on and enjoy.”
