The tablet-type central display features Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto technology.

The third generation EyeSight® Driver Assist system adds Lane Keep Assist.

Stylish cabin changes are made to the steering wheel, air conditioning panel and vents, and stitching is added to the instrument panel, adding to the high quality finish.

The 2.5-litre engine, suspension and transmission are refined for greater response, efficiency and driving pleasure too.

Despite the significant changes, entry-level pricing remains the same as the superseded model at $36,240 Manufacturer’s List Price (MLP)* for Outback 2.5i and $38,740 MLP for the 2.0D (diesel).

Subaru Australia Managing Director, Colin Christie, said: “Outback sold 11,340 in 2017 and has been a consistent best-seller for us in the current generation, so we think the latest long list of refinements will only add to its appeal in the SUV space.
