Subaru Forester was first launched in Australia in 1997 and instantly became a popular medium size SUV. Even more so when the GT version was launched a year later.
Fast forward to 2023 and Subaru has now sold 300,000 units.
The Forester features excellent reliability, safety and durability along with its famous AWD capability.
There is a reason why you see so many foresters and for that matter Outback’s, in places like the snow fields, or in Tasmania where icy conditions are prevalent. It’s the choice for adventurous buyers that want the all-terrain versatility in a comfortable medium size SUV.
Forester comes in eight different versions, including a mild hybrid and is priced from around $42,600 through to $54,500 plus the usual costs.
The non-hybrid versions can to up to 1800kg as well as having an outstanding 220mm of ground clearance.
The Forester has won several awards over the years, including one from OzRoamer in 2022.
