TOYOTA COMPREHENSIVE CONNECTED SERVICES

Toyota Connected Services – Toyota Australia has unveiled an extensive range of Toyota Connected Services that deliver a wealth of vehicle information and remote-control features that can be accessed from a smartphone or tablet.

  • Extensive features designed to enhance safety, security and convenience
  • Remote access to selected vehicle operations
  • Free access for the first 12 months

Safety, security and convenience features – accessible through the myToyota Connect app – include the ability to lock and unlock doors and activate the engine, headlights or climate-control air-conditioning.

The comprehensive line-up of new services, introduced with the Corolla Cross SUV, will be progressively rolled out as new models are introduced, free of charge for the first 12 months.

Toyota Connected Services Package Choice

After the complimentary period, owners will be able to choose from three packages1:
• Toyota Essentials that will remain free of charge (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will also remain complimentary),
• Toyota Connect+,
• Toyota Connected Multimedia.

Toyota Essentials:

• SOS emergency call,
• Automatic collision notification,
• Essential vehicle insights: smartphone/tablet access to vehicle details (e.g. fuel level, odometer reading, distance to empty and whether doors are locked or unlocked, and windows are open or closed).

Toyota Connect+

Toyota Connect+ will offer the following services, in addition to Toyota Essentials for a monthly subscription of $9.95:
• Stolen-vehicle tracking
• Remote Connect: ability to remotely lock/unlock the doors and boot, start the engine and operate the climate-control system.
• Status Connect:
o Enter notification settings for when the vehicle is used by other drivers,
o Access driving insights and vehicle information that can support safety and fuel efficiency by helping improve driving style,
o Access to details of recent trips and vehicle location.

Toyota Connected Multimedia

Toyota Connected Multimedia will open up the full suite of Toyota Connected Services for a monthly subscription of $12.50 with these additional features:
• Connected Navigation,
• Connected Voice Assistant, activated by commands such as “Hey, Toyota”.
• Connected Trip, providing start and finish navigation to and from your vehicle.
• Multimedia profiles, adding navigation and trip settings for up to three drivers.

Model range

Seven models are already equipped with an initial release of selected Toyota Connected Services for a three-year complimentary period: Camry, HiLux, LandCruiser 300, Fortuner, Yaris Cross, HiAce and Granvia.

Beyond the initial three years, these models will retain free-of-charge access to Toyota Essentials, plus the option of subscription access at $4.95 per month to Stolen Vehicle Tracking and Status Connect.

Toyota Australia Vice President Sales, Marketing and Franchise Operations Sean Hanley said driving a connected Toyota vehicle gives customers the freedom to choose what services they utilise and when.

“Our new Toyota Connected Services are designed to provide an even better driving experience with an array of technologies focused on making ownership even easier, safer and more enjoyable,” Mr Hanley said.
