Toyota HiLux 4×2 Extra Cab SR Hi-Rider 2020 Radio Review

2020+Toyota+HiLux+SR+8242

In the competitive Ute market in Australia, manufacturers need to be constantly improving their product to keep buyers interested. Toyota did that in August with the upgrade to the HiLux.

We drove the 4X2 Extra Cab SR Hi Rider Pick Up, to see what difference the changes made.

The key one is the improved engine performance. Finally Toyota has given us the engine that we should have had years ago.

HiLux now has maximum power of 150kW and peak torque on automatic models to 500Nm while improving fuel consumption by as much as 11.1 per cent1.

There are also a number of design changes and an 8-inch display with control knobs rather than touch-screen operation for easier use along with improved connectivity with the introduction of Apple Car Play and Android Auto

The SR Hi Rise is a work Ute with a payload of 1130kg along with an improved towing capacity of 2800kg.

Combine this with improved steering ratios and you have an excellent work Ute for around $44,210 plus the usual costs
