Toyota adopts a more Rugged X look with its upmarket HiLux version now with more power. In early 2018 Toyota moved its HiLux range upmarket with the introduction of the Rogue and Rugged X.

Comfort features include leather heated front seats, Larger 8 inch centre screen display, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, and a premium JBL 9-speaker sound system.
Rugged X additions include special redesigned grill, heavy-duty front springs, snorkel with a reversible head, red-painted front and rear recovery points, heavy-duty rock rails, recreational sports bar, moulded tub tray with tailgate protection, and a heavy-duty rear bumper with integrated step all of which are fully engineered into the core vehicle and covered by the standard factory warranty.
Impressive lighting performance includes outboard driving lights and a centrally mounted LED light bar.
Fully equipped for off-road adventures straight out the showroom, the Rugged X is priced from $69,990 plus the usual costs.
