Toyota Prado GXL 4WD 2021 Radio Review

Toyota Prado has been a mainstream 4WD for years now and recently got a much needed power boost and after driving the Prado GXL my  immediate thought is that this is the engine we should have had all along.

Producing 150kW and 500 Nm still driving through the six speed auto transmission with selectable 4WD low range. This makes a huge difference to the feel of the vehicle when driving in all situations, especially on sand where the higher torque allows smoother driving style.

The GXL is priced from $66,540 plus the usual costs and includes as standard Toyota Safety Sense, revised 9.0 inch touch screen, with Apple Car Play and Android Auto compatibility, auto wipers and reversing camera side steps, roof rails, tri-zone A/Cl, bi-LED headlamps, LED foglamps and daylight running lamps, and rear parking sensors.

A $3000 option pack adds leather- ventilated, and power-operated front seats and heated second-row seats – all of which are standard on VX

The Prado GXL with premium interior is probably the sweet spot in the range, just enough features to keep most people happy and still priced well.
